Conditions checked · Recheck official notices before travelling.

NSW National Parks lists the south-eastern end of Urumbilum Creek Road and the Urumbilum Creek Day Use Area closed from 21 September to 23 October for bridge works.

The closure in Bindarri National Park affects the Orara Escarpment 4WD touring route. The bridge is approximately 1.5 km west of the day use area and falls. NPWS Bindarri local alerts.

The works form part of visitor-access improvements for the Dorrigo Great Escarpment Walk, including walking connections between Tuckers Nob and Urumbilum Creek.

The notice does not establish an approved driving detour. Before planning the touring route, confirm which sections can be accessed with Coffs Harbour NPWS on (02) 6652 0900. Do not assume that a return trip along an alternative section is permitted or passable.

Treat 23 October as the published works end date, subject to current notices. Check again before travelling.
