Cobberas Track, Ingeegoodbee Track and Macfarlane Flat Track remain closed to motor vehicles after storm and flood damage. Parks Victoria’s current notice gives no reopening date.
The Parks Victoria notice links the closures to detailed site assessments and uncertain planning approvals for repairs. These are damage closures, separate from the seasonal schedule ending on 29 October.
A summer route through this part of the Alpine National Park needs an alternative. Recheck the official notice before departure, follow barriers and signs, and do not treat the end of the winter closure period as permission to enter a damaged track.
