Chery opened Stockman reservations on 1 October and says customer deliveries will start on 1 February 2027. Pricing remains to be announced.

The reservation offer includes a $2,000 Bunnings gift card and three years or 45,000km of scheduled servicing, subject to its conditions. The reservation process uses a refundable $1,000 payment; the benefits are tied to taking delivery, not simply paying the reservation amount.

Chery’s 2 October specification announcement gives the diesel plug-in hybrid 350kW and 800Nm, front, centre and rear differential locks, up to 96km electric range on the WLTP cycle and 3,495kg maximum braked towing. These newer figures replace the earlier landing-page 100km NEDC and 3,500kg claims; different range test cycles are not directly interchangeable.

The indicative MY27 specification sheet now lists 2,735kg curb mass and 3,500kg GVM. Subtracting those gives 765kg before occupants, accessories, cargo and towing loads. That is a calculation from indicative masses, not a separately confirmed final payload rating. The sheet remains subject to change.

Josh’s take: The published masses make load planning possible, but confirm final Australian ratings and the price before committing to a touring build.
